A $430 million data center is planned for Fort Worth’s AllianceTexas development.

In late September, state regulatory paperwork was filed for a data center at 14700 Heritage Parkway — on the west side of Interstate 35W in Denton County.

The paperwork describes a data center building with 156,500 square feet of administrative area and four data halls with a 42,000 square foot screened-in equipment yard.

The owner of the land is AIL Investment LP.

The company Colovore is listed on the paperwork. California-based Colovore has data centers in several states, including one in Austin and two in Dallas-Fort Worth.

According to its website, Colovore “designs and operates dedicated AI infrastructure in strategic metro markets” and describes its Texas data centers as “part of a growing Texas footprint.”

The website also shows that the company is pre-leasing space at the Fort Worth site.

Colovore did not immediately return a request for comment.

A spokesperson for the city of Fort Worth said in September that the company was not under consideration for economic incentives.

Gov. Greg Abbott has ordered the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to stop issuing permits to data centers until an audit of the state’s electric grid is complete.
