One San Antonio resident just became $1 million richer after claiming a top prize from a Texas Lottery scratch-off game.

According to a Thursday news release from the Texas Lottery, the anonymous winner purchased a Million Dollar Loteria scratch-off ticket at Palo Alto Express, located at 719 Palo Alto Road on the city’s South Side.

The San Antonio winner was one of four Texans who recently claimed top lottery prizes worth a combined $5 million.

The Million Dollar Loteria ticket marked the first of 10 top prizes of $1 million claimed in the game. Players have a chance to win part of more than $385.3 million in total prizes, with overall odds of winning any prize at 1 in 3.29, including break-even prizes.

In Baytown, another player won $1 million playing the Mega Millionaire scratch-off after buying the ticket at Revolution on East Wallisville Road. A Spring resident also claimed a $1 million Premier Play prize after purchasing the winning ticket at Time Saver Food Mart on Spring Stuebner Road.

The largest prize went to a Haltom City resident, who claimed $2 million from Millionaire’s Club. The winning ticket was sold at Nick’s Corner Mart.

All four winners chose to remain anonymous.

The retailers that sold the winning tickets may each qualify for a $10,000 bonus through the Texas Lottery’s Retailer Bonus Program.
