Taylor Sheridan‘s popular Paramount+ oil drama has officially begun production on its upcoming third season, according to a Thursday announcement from the streamer. The Billy Bob Thornton-led program is once again filming in Fort Worth.

The confirmation came after James Jordan, who plays petroleum engineer Dale Bradley, had said the show would begin production in September. That start marked a slight delay, with Thornton previously saying production would begin in late August.

Those keeping a close eye on local productions may have known Landman was back in town, with Legacy Casting putting out several calls in mid-September for small background roles for the show’s third season. Those calls noted shoots in Fort Worth and Haslet, a small suburb north of the city.

The third season of Landman will bring back Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Ali Larter and Sam Elliott in starring roles. Lioness actor Michael Kelly joins the cast. The streamer also announced Thursday that Colm Feore, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvör Menuez and Francesca Xuereb will be series regulars in Season 3.

Paramount+ has not announced an official release date for the show, but it is expected to come sometime in 2027.
