RICHARDSON, Texas (November 11, 2025) – Seven Lubbock Christian University men’s soccer players were honored with Lone Star Conference awards on Tuesday, including Geoffroy Letienne, who was named the league’s Defensive Player of the Year and Connor Pettigrew, who was named Academic Player of the Year.

Letienne also earned a spot on the All-LSC First Team. Connor Pettigrew, Manu Nunez, Francisco Horta Jaramillo and Joao Catafesta were all named to the All-LSC Second Team, and Adam Davison and Jack Brassey both earned spots on the All-Freshman Team. Pettigrew was also named to the All-Academic Team for a second-straight season.

This season, Letienne has led the Chaps in minutes played with 1597. He played every minute of all but one game – LCU’s 5-0 win against Adams State – anchoring an LCU back line that limited opponents to 0.94 goals per game, which is the third-best mark in the conference. The Auxere, France, native has also contributed offensively with a pair of goals on 15 shots. He was named the LSC Defensive Player of the Week one time during the season.

Jaramillo was the offensive leader of the team, scoring five goals and adding in two assists. He played in all 18 games for the Chaps, taking 33 shots and putting 15 of those on goal. He scored the game-winning goals against West Texas A&M (10/22/25) and DBU (10/25/25).

Pettigrew was LCU’s last line of defense for every minute of all 18 games of the season, posting a save percentage of .795 and a goals against average of 0.94. His 62 saves in the regular season were the most among LSC keepers, and added five more in LCU’s quarterfinal win against WT. A graduate student studying accounting, Pettigrew earned a spot on the All-Academic team for his second consecutive season.

Catafesta, in his first season with the Chaps, made an impact right away, playing the second most minutes on the team, behind only Letienne. The sophomore midfielder started all 18 games, helping LCU control the ball in the midfield. He took six shots on the season, two of which were on goal.

Nunez capped off his LCU career with his best season yet, playing 1,412 minutes across 18 games. He was LCU’s team-leader in assists with five, which is tied for the second-most in the conference. He also ranked third in the LSC in both shots (49) and shots on goal (23), scoring one time in the season.

Davison and Brassey – both natives of England – had song starts to their collegiate careers. Inserted into the starting lineup midway through the season, Brassey made a big impact, scoring two goals, including the game-winner against Texas A&M International. Davison was in the starting lineup for all but one game in the season and played in all 18 on LCU’s back line. His 1,435 minutes played are the fourth-most on the team.

Lubbock Christian is currently 7-7-4 on the season and has advanced to the LSC Tournament semifinals, beating WT 2-1 in the quarterfinals for their first postseason win since 2021. The Chaps will take on St. Edward’s at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night at Lewis-Chen Family Field in Austin, Texas.
