NBC 5, Telemundo 39, and VolunteerNow invite you to sign up for the Texas Volunteer Management Conference. The next generation of volunteer leaders will gather to learn, connect, and strengthen volunteer efforts at this two-day conference, from Thursday, October 15 to Friday, October 16, at UT Dallas in Richardson and online.
TVMC’s theme this year is “Bridges Beyond Boundaries,” which reflects VolunteerNow’s mission to build stronger communities through volunteer efforts. The annual conference gathers nonprofit leaders, volunteers, students, corporate partners, and community organizations across the country to learn different tools to advance volunteer management. The conference is split into two days, with each day consisting of three breakout sessions. Topics covered in the sessions include navigating AI, inclusion, connection, and the intersection of volunteerism and organizational development.
This year, TVMC will debut their student track, with 50 students across Texas attending the conference. The students convened in the summer to shape the conference’s program and to gain their perspective. With support from Lyda Hill Philanthropies, this will be TVMC’s first student track. The student track will take place on Thursday, October 15.
VolunteerNow will also present their peer-reviewed research findings on court mandated volunteerism. The research was conducted in partnership with the University of Texas at Dallas and will be presented to volunteer leaders to help shape how court mandated service is approached and underline the restorative role it plays in our justice system.
