SAN ANTONIO – Protesters gathered on the East Side to march in protest of the planned ICE Facility warehouse amid a fiery debate surrounding the agency’s law enforcement role.
At 8 am on Saturday, protesters gathered near the corner of East Houston Street and S WW White Road to march down East Houston and along the highway to the planned facility on Loop 410.
The March for Freedom and Justice, organized by the San Antonio Freedom Coalition, was set to feature appearances from Rep. Joaquin Castro, Commissioner Tommy Calvert, and Father Jimmy Drennan.
