The Red River Rivalry is just a week away and ticket prices have dropped by nearly $200 in the last month. The Texas Longhorns are currently the No. 1 team in college football after five straight wins, while Oklahoma has fallen out of the USA TODAY Coaches Poll after losses to both Michigan and Georgia.
However, both teams have this week to get their heads right for the rivalry. Both are on a bye week, which means whether you’re rooting for the Longhorns or the Sooners, you’re focused on the upcoming Red River Rivalry.
Texas won the Red River Rivalry game in 2025, 23-6, despite Oklahoma outranking the Longhorns at the time. The Sooners were the No. 6 team before Arch Manning and the No. 19 Texas team had their say. The loss dropped Oklahoma seven spots in the rankings.

Key parts of the Texas offense have returned, including Manning and Ryan Niblett. Plus, the Sooners will be facing a stronger, higher ranked team than they did in 2025. Is redemption on the table? Or, will the Longhorns win their third straight?
