SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County residents got a behind-the-scenes look at how local elections are run during an open house and job fair hosted by the Bexar County Elections Department.

The department held the event Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bexar County Elections Department, 1103 S. Frio in San Antonio.

According to the department, visitors were able to tour the facility, ask questions and, if interested, apply to be an election clerk.

The tour included the voter registration area, mail room and warehouse, along with a look at where ballots are tabulated.

The department said attendees also got an up-close look at security measures and how Bexar County works to ensure accuracy and transparency in elections.

Residents were given the opportunity to check their voter registration status and register to vote if needed.
