SAN ANTONIO – Police are investigating a family violence incident at a West Side apartment complex after an altercation between a man and woman left one of them injured Monday morning.
The stabbing happened around 7:30 a.m. at a complex off Northwest Loop 410 access road and John William.
Police initially reported that a woman had stabbed a man, but investigators at the scene said it was still unclear who was injured and exactly what happened during the altercation.
According to police, one of the two suffered a cut during the disturbance and left the apartment before officers arrived. Investigators did not know where that person went or the extent of the injury.
Both people had been staying at the apartment, police said.
The woman remained at the scene but was not cooperating with officers as they tried to determine what led up to the altercation. A detective later arrived and was expected to speak with her.
Police said investigators still need to determine who is the victim and who may be the suspect.
No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed.
The investigation remains ongoing.
