Taylor Sheridan’s “Landman” is filming at TCU this week.
The Paramount+ series began production on season 3 in late September in Fort Worth. Much of the cast is returning for the third go-around, along with a new cast member from “Lioness.”
🎬 In case you missed it:
TCU announced the “Landman” filming in a news release, stating that nearly 30 students will shadow the production crew during the shoot.
In addition, nearly 30 TCU cheerleaders will also take part in the production in a storyline surrounding Michelle Randolph’s character Ainsley Norris. Ainsley left home in season 2 to attend TCU and was last seen practicing with the cheerleading team.
“Landman” has filmed at TCU in each of its three seasons, with some students and faculty serving as background actors in the show. Each season, TCU students have shadowed the production to get an inside look at how the show is made.

“Landman” was co-created by Sheridan and Christian Wallace, and is described as a “modern-day tale of fortune seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs.”
In addition to Randolph, “Landman” stars Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Sam Elliott, Ali Larter, Andy Garcia, Paulina Chávez, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Colm Feore, Mark Collie, Mustafa Speaks, Bobbi Salvor Menuez and Francesca Xuereb.
It’s unknown when “Landman” season 3 will be released. The previous two seasons premiered in November 2024 and November 2025, respectively. With filming underway on the new season, it’s unlikely the show will land in the same window.
“Landman” seasons 1 and 2 are streaming on Paramount+.
