The Texas company’s 2,600-square-foot manufacturing plant in Hondo completed construction earlier this summer after initially filing plans in February to expand its existing facility there.
The iconic Texas charm bracelet company began construction in early March and listed June 26, 2026, as its final day of construction.
Located outside San Antonio’s Far Westside, Hondo is the largest city in Medina County, which has experienced rapid growth in recent years, from Microsoft data centers to massive 1,000-unit housing developments.
James Avery has operated a manufacturing plant in the small town since 2000. According to the Hondo Economic Development Corporation, in 2024, the jewelry brand upgraded its then-9,500-square-foot facility to provide more space for employees and modernized its equipment to keep up with growing demand.
James Avery Craftsman Inc. is listed as the owner of the new facility. According to records, the construction work also included an interior renovation of the existing facility at 1101 Castro Street, Hondo, TX 78861.
Talents By Vaia, a job board that appears in Google search results beneath the Hondo manufacturing plant, lists a job opening for a manufacturing technician in the Hill Country town.
For years, the beloved jewelry company has expanded its footprint across Texas, including San Antonio and throughout South Texas. The new project will likely bring construction work, retail jobs, shoppers and potentially even more investment to the Hondo area.
The brand got its start in Kerrville, about 65 miles northwest of San Antonio.
