This might be the game of the year in Texas, as two state-title contenders go head-to-head in a clash that will likely decide the District 11-6A champion. Waxahachie (5–0), the state’s top-ranked 6A team, welcomes state No. 3 North Crowley (5–0), the 6A Division I state champion in 2024.

Three-star South Carolina pledge Jerry Meyer III has passed for 1,306 yards and 16 touchdowns for Waxahachie and is one of several top recruits in the program, which also includes five-star Texas A&M pledge JayQuan Snell at safety. North Crowley also has top prospects, with a secondary that includes four-star UCLA pledge Jerry Outhouse Jr. and three-star Arizona State pledge Elijajuan Houston.
