A Hebron High School employee turned herself in after arrest warrants were issued on charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact and child grooming, the Carrollton Police Department said.

Lewisville ISD identified the employee as Gloria Resendiz and said the Carrollton PD informed school officials that the warrants had been issued as part of an ongoing investigation.

Resendiz turned herself in to the Carrollton Jail and was transferred to the Denton County Jail.

According to Lewisville ISD, Resendiz remains on administrative leave from the district and is “strictly prohibited from entering any district facility.”

The district said it will continue to cooperate with Carrollton police as the investigation continues.

Lewisville ISD said the district does not have additional information about the investigation and directed further questions about the case to the Carrollton Police Department.

“If you or your student has any information you believe may be important, we want to encourage you to reach out to CPD or a trusted adult at school,” the message to Hebron families said.

The district also said Hebron High School counselors are available to support students and staff who may need assistance in response to the situation.

No additional details about the allegations or the circumstances surrounding the investigation were provided by the district.

Carrollton Police said this is an ongoing investigation and additional charges may be filed as investigators continue to review evidence.
