LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — A Las Cruces motorcyclist is in an El Paso hospital with serious injuries after authorities said he crashed Sunday night after speeding.
According to the Las Cruces Police Department, at around 10:45 p.m., a 20-year-old man was flown to University Medical Center of El Paso after he suffered potentially life-threatening injuries when his motorcycle crashed into a street sign on Camino Coyote Lane east of Sonoma Ranch Boulevard.
LCPD said investigators believe the motorcyclist was going fast and lost control while taking a curve, so the motorcycle went off the road and crashed into the pole.
