AUSTIN, Texas (KWTX) – A dispute over rent money between roommates ended in a fatal shooting Tuesday night in south Austin, according to police.
Austin police said officers responded around 8:09 p.m. Oct. 6 to reports of a shooting in the 11300 block of Menchaca Road.
They found Miguel Guevara with apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Investigators said Guevara had been involved in an argument with his girlfriend before a separate disturbance with his roommate, Christopher Foy, over rent money.
Police allege Foy shot Guevara and fled.
Officers located Foy a few hours later in the 4600 block of Nuckols Crossing and arrested him on a murder charge, police said.
