AUSTIN – Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced the Texas General Land Office (GLO) is partnering with Texas A&M University and the Texas Farm Bureau to develop opportunities for the next generation of Texas farmers and ranchers.
Through this partnership, the GLO will identify appropriate state land and work with agricultural organizations like Texas A&M and Texas Farm Bureau.
The goal is to provide next generation farmers with hands-on training, mentorship from experienced producers, and a pathway towards farming or ranching.
The GLO manages more than 13 million acres of Texas state land, including agricultural land leased for grazing and farming.
