DALLAS (KDAF) — Contemporary American steakhouse Steak 48 is opening a location in Dallas at the corner of McKinney Avenue and Monticello Avenue, between Highland Park and Knox Street. The restaurant concept is led by brothers Jeffrey Mastro and Michael Mastro, both James Beard Award winners.
The venue will span approximately 14,000 square feet across two stories, marking the latest expansion for the family-owned business that currently operates six locations nationwide.
The Dallas site will feature a series of distinct dining areas, including private dining rooms, an elevated dining space and interior design elements using warm wood and custom stone accents.
Certain dining suites inside the facility will feature floor-to-ceiling glass walls that look directly into the kitchen, allowing guests to watch the culinary staff at work. The second floor will offer dining tables arranged around an indoor decorative pool.
The menu offers prime steaks, wagyu selections, fresh seafood and shellfish. Signature items include Colossal Shrimp Cocktail, Chef’s Cut Hanging Bacon, Corn Crème Brûlée and Caviar Cones. The kitchen plans to source ingredients locally when available.
Along with full dinner service, the establishment will feature a raw bar, a craft cocktail program and an extensive wine list.
Construction on the Dallas restaurant is scheduled to begin soon. Additional details regarding the project and an expected opening date will be announced at a later time.
