A different kind of crowd is gathering along Northaven Trail in North Dallas this week, and they are hungry!

The “Northaven Herd,” a group of goats and sheep, was spotted grazing along the trail near Inwood and Midway roads.

NBC 5’s Texas Sky Ranger captured an aerial view of the animals as they grazed through the area.

These four-legged visitors are doing more than just enjoying a meal. The herd plays an important role in helping restore local habitats and supporting native wildflowers in the city.

The goats and sheep will be grazing in the area throughout the week, giving North Dallas residents a chance to catch a glimpse of the herd in action.

Want to see them for yourself? Check out the “Live Flock Finder” online, which allows visitors to track the herd’s journey and find the perfect opportunity to snap a few photos.
