Saint Jo and Forestburg were two of the top teams in District 10-A volleyball last season. After the Lady Panthers’ 3-2 homecourt win Oct. 2, many would agree they still are.

Saint Jo swept the Lady ‘Horns twice last year in three games. Forestburg, with a spirited fan base behind them, wound up falling 16-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-23, 8-15 in a match that took nearly two hours to complete.

Serving points by Maddi Wadsworth and Brenna Briles staked Forestburg to a 6-4 lead in game one. Kamron Skidmore’s six point run forced Forestburg Coach Trinadee Imotichey into a timeout.

Saint Jo used kills by Savannah Hill and Tatum Morman to keep Forestburg at bay defensively. It set the table for Hill, who laid down the final five points of the game with Morman’s kill finishing the job.
