TEXAS (KAUZ) – AAA Texas reports that gas prices have dropped across the state.
Today’s statewide gas price average in Texas is $3.87 for a gallon of regular unleaded, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.
That price is seven cents less than a week ago and $1.15 more per gallon than on this day last year.
AAA Texas said that Texas is now one of nine states with average gas prices under $4 a gallon, and it is the fourth least expensive U.S. state for gasoline behind Ohio, Indiana and Georgia.
“Hurricane Isaias appears to be heading away from impacting Texas refineries as of Thursday morning, and gas prices are currently on a downward trend throughout most of Texas and nationwide.
AAA Texas recommends using an online tool such as the free AAA Mobile app to shop around virtually for the cheapest gas prices near you.”
