Plano ISD Superintendent Dr. Theresa Williams and district leaders welcomed members of the Retired Seniors Valued in Plano program last Tuesday for the district’s first Superintendent Roundtable of the school year, titled “RSVP: Passport to Plano ISD.”

Dr. Williams and Deputy Superintendent for Business, Employee Services and Technology Johnny Hill led the event, which featured a guided bus tour showcasing campus renovations and recently completed construction projects funded by the district’s 2022 bond.

Participants praised the district’s vision for continued educational excellence as reflected in the updated facilities.

“I found it absolutely fascinating to see how much construction is occurring in Plano, as well as the unique types of construction,” RSVP member Mark Ball said. “You’ve got schools that are being rebuilt featuring brand new things that I didn’t think about when I was in school, or my wife Jane, who was a former principal in the district, even was aware of. It really is an opportunity for the students to have such wonderful campuses.”
