The fire on Wednesday wasn’t the first in the community. ABC13 covered at least three fires at the apartment complex in 2026.
HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Fire Department said they fought a fire at the Woodlake Luxury Townhome Apartments on Wednesday night.
There was an apartment unit that was severely damaged, according to HFD.
“It’s the most horrible way to live. I lost everything,” a neighbor told ABC13 when speaking about the fire in her unit.
The fire on Wednesday wasn’t the first in the community.
ABC13 covered at least three fires at the apartment complex in 2026.
On Thursday, Eyewitness News asked employees at the apartment complex how many fires had occurred, why the previous ones occurred and if it’s something on their end causing the fire.
They had no comment at the time and did not immediately return our request for comment.
The Houston Fire Department said there were no reported injuries from the fire on Wednesday, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
