LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock High Westerners (1-4, 0-2) will look to end their losing skid when they host the Amarillo Tascosa Rebels (2-3, 1-1) this evening.
The game will be airing on KCBD.com and the Streaming App.
Lubbock High head football coach Juan Rodriguez knows it will be a challenge preparing for the Rebels and their famed triple-option offense.
“Man, they’re definitely a physical ball club, and one of the things about getting ready for Tascosa, and everybody probably that works around the area will say it’s hard because you got to get your kids mentally ready just as much as you got to get them physically ready,” he said.“And you got to make them understand responsible option play. And that’s a little bit harder to do because we’ve been running to the ball.”
Westerners-Rebels, kickoff 7 p.m. at PlainsCapital Park.
