EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso County is inviting families to stop by its downtown offices for a day of trick-or-treating ahead of Halloween.
On Oct. 30, the day before Halloween, county officials encourage residents to visit offices at the Enrique Moreno County Courthouse and the Downtown Annex to trick-or-treat and greet employees. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is being called a “festive, family-friendly experience in the heart of downtown El Paso.”
To help visitors find participating locations, the county said a list of offices taking part will be available at the information desk on the first and third floors of the courthouse. County employees will also take part in internal costume and office-decorating contests.
Because the event will take place in public offices, the county said it is also intended to give residents a chance to visit.

“County government belongs to the people we serve, and events like this give our employees a chance to welcome families into the courthouse in a fun and positive way,” said County Administrator Betsy Keller. “We are grateful for the departments and employees who help create a safe, festive, and welcoming experience for our community.”
All visitors must go through security screening before entering.
The Enrique Moreno County Courthouse is located at 500 E. San Antonio Ave. in downtown El Paso. The Downtown Annex is at 320 S. Campbell St.
