LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – For Nathan Whitt, the feeling of getting on his Yamaha is unlike any other
“The moment you put the helmet on, it kind of feels like everything around you, all the outside noise, everything just kind of disappears,” Whitt said. “Something about the engine, the way it feels, one moment you’re feeling free and the next it feels like you’re floating.”
In 2023, his friend gifted him a Yamaha R6. He decided to start posting on TikTok as ‘2wheelfeels’ the following year and has since seen substantial growth, garnering 2.8 million likes.
“it’s just a look at what it’s like to have a family and ride,” Whitt said. “I think that’s a big deal.”
As a father of a 12, 10 and 9-year-old, Whitt says there’s nothing more important to him than his family, making it even more enjoyable for him when they get involved in helping him grow his platform.
“They’re my world,” Whitt said. “They love bikes and they’ve been learning and helping me around the house. My wife has brought me nothing but support. She actually helps me with a lot of the filming and she’s involved in a lot of the videos.”
Every day, every ride, Whitt has gotten more comfortable showcasing what he and his family are all about. Of course, riding a motorcycle and creating content comes with its own risks, which is why Whitt wants people who are considering getting into this hobby to do so safely.
“For one, it’s our life,” Whitt said. “You don’t have barriers, you don’t have airbags, you don’t have anything protecting you between you and any other obstacle on the road. You’re also only on two wheels, so you have half the amount of grip, if not less, so it doesn’t take much to cause injury.”
While Whitt has big dreams for the future, including opening a track here in west Texas for riders to have fun, he hopes families can enjoy what his family is providing online, one ride at a time.
