ICE to spend $51 million on office leases on the South Side

SAN ANTONIO — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is leasing thousands of square feet of office space at Brooks on the South Side, according to government spending records.

The records show ICE will spend about $51 million on the office leases on 7611 Inner Circle Dr. at Brooks City Base.

The office space is separate from ICE’s planned East Side processing center. The agency purchased a large warehouse on the East Side that it plans to convert into a detention and processing facility that could house approximately 1,500 people.
