Dream Center Dallas is helping North Texas families in need by hosting a free grocery drive-thru and clothing giveaway this weekend.
The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at Dream Center Dallas, located at 1900 S. Ewing Ave. in Dallas.
Families can receive free groceries through the drive-thru distribution, while clothing will also be available for those who walk up to the event. All items are free and will be distributed while supplies last.
The giveaway is part of the nonprofit’s “Adopt a Block” initiative, which focuses on serving local neighborhoods through community outreach, cleanups, and the distribution of essential supplies.
“No matter what season you’re in, you deserve to know you’re not alone,” Dream Center Dallas wrote in a social media post announcing the event. “We’re here to love our neighbors and meet practical needs.”
The organization is also seeking volunteers to help distribute groceries, load vehicles, and assist families during Saturday’s event. Those interested in helping are encouraged to sign up and bring a friend.
Founded in 2020, Dream Center Dallas is a faith-based nonprofit dedicated to providing resources and support to underserved communities. The organization operates out of the historic Gospel Lighthouse Church building in Dallas.
In addition to grocery distributions, Dream Center Dallas offers free clothing, shoes, and personal hygiene products through its Women’s Store. Other services include English classes, youth activities, addiction recovery support, and partnerships assisting victims of human trafficking.
The nonprofit describes its mission as being “a place for all people to experience outrageous generosity and unconditional love.”
