Dallas, Texas — The No. 1 Texas Longhorns face the Oklahoma Sooners on Saturday, Oct. 10, in the annual Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl, with conference ambitions and bragging rights on the line.
Texas enters the matchup unbeaten at 4–0, while Oklahoma arrives with a 2–2 record. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Central at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.

The matchup takes place during the State Fair of Texas at Fair Park, combining college football with one of Dallas’ best-known annual traditions. The fair attracts millions of visitors over its multiweek run, and the rivalry brings fans of both universities to the Cotton Bowl for a distinctive neutral-site atmosphere.
The rivalry began in 1900. The teams began playing in Dallas in 1912, and the game became a State Fair of Texas tradition in 1929. The annual neutral-site matchup remains one of college football’s most recognizable rivalry games.
Texas won the previous two meetings, defeating Oklahoma 34–3 in 2024 and 23–6 in 2025.
With the State Fair underway, Saturday’s showdown adds another chapter to the historic rivalry. Texas will look to maintain its unbeaten record, while Oklahoma aims to upset the top-ranked Longhorns.
