A juvenile died early Sunday after being found unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound in southern Dallas, police said.
Officers responded to a shooting call about 1 a.m. in the 4900 block of Wadsworth Drive, near Great Trinity Forest Way in the Cedar Crest neighborhood, according to a preliminary police investigation.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the juvenile to a hospital, where the victim died.
Police have not released the juvenile’s age or identity. Details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
