The AP top 25 poll has experienced a shakeup at No. 1. That shouldn’t be surprising to Texas fans.
The Longhorns fell out of the top spot after their shocking 27-24 loss to Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Georgia has taken over as the poll’s leader after it held off Alabama by a 20-17 score in front of a tough Tuscaloosa crowd.
That move also meant a slight jump for teams in the top 5. After Georgia, Notre Dame comes in at No. 2. Miami (FL), Ohio State and Indiana round out the top five spots.
