Time to get your craft on, Texas! Hobby Lobby is expanding its Lone Star footprint with yet another retail outpost – and this time, it’s set its sights on a buzzy Central Texas suburb.

The Oklahoma City-founded arts and craft retailer has long held plenty of love for Texas, with the Lone Star State home to an estimated 121 Hobby Lobby stores, according to company data. It represents the highest concentration of Hobby Lobbys in the nation, with Texas’ closest competition its West Coast rival, California, which features 73 stores.

Now, yet another Hobby Lobby is coming online, with the chain slated to make its debut in the East Austin suburb of Manor. A new retail store, amounting to roughly 55,000 square feet, is on deck for 14019 E. U.S. Highway 290, Manor TX 78653, according to project documents registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Monday, October 5.

Construction on the store is currently expected to begin in mid-December 2026 and run through late July 2027, per TDLR documents. The estimated construction cost for the new store comes with a sticker price of roughly $6 million. TDLR filings are approximations and both construction costs and timelines are preliminary and subject to change.

Looking nearby, the city of Austin is home to three Hobby Lobby stores. Others in the Central Texas area include stores in Bastrop, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Kyle, New Braunfels, Pflugerville, Round Rock, San Marcos and Seguin.
