This week, North Texas is really experiencing the old saying, “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.”
The week started with the arrival of a strong cold front , giving the region its coldest temperatures of the season yet. But the cold didn’t last long.
After temperatures at DFW International Airport dipped all the way to 36 degrees Monday morning, the airport is expected to reach highs above 80 on Thursday and Friday.
Wednesday also should be significantly warmer with an early-morning low of 49 degrees, near normal for mid-November according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. The temperature then is expected to climb to 76, with mild winds and clear skies.
D-FW Weather Wise
The warm conditions should stick around for the foreseeable future, with highs at least 10 degrees above average expected every day through Sunday.
Rain chances are expected to return Sunday and Monday, but it wasn’t clear yet exactly which parts of the D-FW area could see the most precipitation.
