LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – South Plains Electric Cooperative and CoBank have teamed up to help support some of Lubbock’s most vulnerable kids.
Community Partners of Lubbock’s Rainbow Room received a $10,000 donation. The money provides CPS caseworkers a way to purchase emergency items for children in crisis, like clothes, diapers and school supplies.
The Rainbow Room is 100% community funded and has helped foster kids since 1998.
Operation Round Up members made this gift possible by rounding their electric bill up to the next dollar.
