2:29 p.m. update: Dallas police confirmed an accident occurred between the 18-wheeler and sedan. No injuries have been reported. “The road should be opened soon once the involved vehicles are cleared off the highway,” said Corbin Rubinson, senior public information officer.
A collision on westbound Spur 366 in Dallas has closed several lanes near the Interstate 35E interchange.
Only the far-left lane remains open. The Texas Department of Transportation traffic tracker detected the collision at 1:46 p.m., and cameras show an 18-wheeler and a sedan blocking the highway.
The cause of the accident remains unknown.
Congestion on the highway is extending to North Central Expressway, according to the traffic tracker. Motorists are urged to avoid the area while crews work to clear the scene.
