10:02 a.m. update: Irving police confirmed a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred around 4:15 a.m. and resulted in minor injuries. Cleanup efforts have been delayed due to a small diesel fuel leak requiring a hazmat response. There is currently no estimated time for the roadway to fully reopen.

A collision has closed the two far left lanes of westbound State Highway 114 early Tuesday morning in Irving.

The collision occurred at State Highway 161, the President George Bush Turnpike frontage road, near Las Colinas, according to the Texas Department of Transportation traffic cameras. Only the far right lane remains open, with traffic passing through smoothly.

Crews are still working to clear the scene, however, the cause for the accident and number of individuals involved is unknown. The Irving Police Department did not respond to immediate requests for comment.

This is a developing story.
