EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — If your pet has been practicing its spooky strut, El Paso Animal Services has the perfect place to show it off this weekend.
The City of El Paso Animal Services is inviting people and pets to celebrate Halloween on Saturday at the fourth annual Wag-O-Ween Pet Carnival.
The free, family-friendly event will be held at the Westside Adoption Center, 5625 Confetti Drive, near the Villa del Mar on North Mesa Street from 5 to 8 p.m.
The carnival is designed to bring pet owners and animal lovers in the Borderland together to connect and learn about resources that help keep pets healthy and safe.
According to the city, attendees can get their pets microchipped for free and take advantage of discounted vaccines courtesy of Vista Hills Animal Hospital.

The Borderland Rescue Fund is set to give away goodie bags with pet essentials for the first 30 dogs and 10 cats adopted.
“Wag-O-Ween has become a tradition our community looks forward to each year, bringing families, pet owners and animal lovers together to celebrate our love of animals,” said Michael Wachsmann, interim director of El Paso Animal Services. “We’re excited to welcome everyone back for another evening of connection, fun and opportunities to help pets in our community.”
