Dallas has quietly won all of their games this season. The Mountaineers haven’t trailed in any game and have only given up a total of 56 points.

Bobby Gallagher, Dallas Senior says, “I like the way that we’re running the ball. We could do everything well. We’re passing well and everybody’s touching the ball. There’s not really a bad part of our game where we’re doing well. “

Rich Mannello, Dallas Coach added, “ We have to set the standard by what we do every single day. And you know, we don’t write the schedule, right. So, you know, that’s a no concern of ours, we can’t control that. We don’t talk about it. We don’t talk about the division and the conference. It’s all about how do we get to a district championship game and how do we win the district title?

So they’re good with that. And they understand about setting you know, what we do by what we expect of ourselves. And it’s just not talk. You know it’s coming out on the field.

You can see what’s happening on Fridays. They’re bought into that. “

Crestwood comes into this matchup between coach and former player with just one win in their first seven weeks. The Comets know the task will be tough against the undefeated Dallas Mountaineers, but if they can somehow pull off the upset, it will go a long way to making the district playoffs.

Crestwood will be at full strength for the first time since their only win in week one. The Comets have the talent to compete with Dallas if they cut down on their own mistakes.

Jake Rodgers, Crestwood Senior says, “You know, it’s just. It’s just like one play turns into a couple of bad ones for us. But we’re right there every game. I mean, every first half we’ve been pretty close. The last two weeks we’ve been tied. We’ve been up seven going in the half. So we’re right there. We just got to finish games and really find a way to get some wins on the board. “

Jake Jeckell, Crestwood Senior added,” You know, there’s a lot of sparks in our offense. Once we get the running game going it opens up the pass game. And now having Jack back at receiver and Teddy at quarterback, it gives us many more opportunities than we had coming into the season. And it just opens opportunities up all around the board for us.

Ryan Arcangeli, Crestwood Coach says, “Injury bug is kind of nipped us a lot this year. Okay. That’s the adversity we’ve had to deal with.

We got a couple guys back up front last week. Not all of them back up front. This week we’ll be all back up front, which is great. So it helps kind of plug some of those holes we had last week. Then secondary wise we had better fits. We talked about tackling , our tackling was not the best last week in the second half. “

Ryan Arcangeli played for Mannello at King’s College. He is 0 and 6 against his former coach and knows what challenge awaits.

Arcangeli says, “ You have to be not perfect, but you have to chase perfect in every aspect of the game. And that’s what I know that coach demands out of his players. So he demands that out of you as an opponent to make sure that you have all three phases covered extremely well. So as a head coach or as a coach, NO, because you don’t sleep a lot going into weeks like that. But yes, at the same time, because that’s the kind of gives you want to be involved in. You want to go against very well coached football teams and very good football teams. They’re well coached, they’re very good. So you have to be excited to play those kind of games on a Friday. “

The game can be seen Friday on MYTV, WQMY starting at 7pm.
