LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock Police’s Major Crash Unit is investigating at the scene of North I-27 near FM 1294, where they say a semi and trailer crashed and rolled.
Police were initially called to the scene at midnight, where they found the driver of the semi with moderate injuries. He was taken to UMC and his condition was upgraded to serious, prompting the callout of the Major Crash Unit.
The main lane and access road of southbound I-27 at FM 1264 have been closed while the investigation is ongoing. Southbound traffic is being diverted west onto FM 1294. It’s expected to be closed until around 7:00 a.m. this morning while investigators and clean up crews work. Expect delays.
