LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – One person has been arrested in connection to a shooting in with an east Lubbock shooting that left another seriously injured.
38-year-old Jeffrey Porter was arrested in Midland Tuesday afternoon and faces multiple charges.
Just before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a person with a gunshot wound in the 100 block of North Zenith.
That’s where police found 41-year-old Christopher Manahan with a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Covenant with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Through the investigation, it appears Manahan and Porter got into an argument at a home in the 3900 block of Idalou Rd. Investigators believe as Manahan got into his truck to leave, that’s when Porter shot Manahan before fleeing the scene.
Investigators say Manahan then drove to a relative’s house on North Zenith Ave. when 911 was called.
Porter was arrested by investigators with the Midland Texas Anti-Gang Center where he remains in the Midland County Jail.
