Giovanni Scelzi slid past Rico Abreu in traffic and led the final eight laps to win Friday’s 25-lap feature from seventh, opening Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing’s All-In Championship Weekend at Texas Motor Speedway.

Scelzi shaved nine points off Abreu’s championship lead and trails by 36 entering Saturday’s season finale. Abreu can clinch the title with a finish of 16th or better, holding the tiebreaker should they finish tied.

Tyler Courtney rebounded from mechanical trouble earlier in the night to charge from 11th to second ahead of Abreu, who led laps 13-17 after overtaking polesitter Tanner Holmes. Holmes led the opening 12 laps before fading to eighth.
