A little Old World Christmas charm is heading back to North Texas. The Texas Christkindl Market returns to Arlington this November for its 16th annual celebration, transforming the North Plaza outside Globe Life Field into a German-inspired holiday shopping destination—with free admission.

The 2026 market opens November 20–22, then returns November 27 through December 23. Organizers are promising an expanded edition with new vendors and more entertainment, giving Dallas-area visitors plenty of opportunities to add a festive outing to their holiday calendars.

Shop For Handcrafted Gifts And German Christmas Collectibles

Visitors can explore handcrafted gifts and collectibles, including exclusive Käthe Wohlfahrt merchandise and designs associated with Germany’s Black Forest and the picturesque Rothenburg Christmas Village. It’s a chance to find distinctive holiday decorations and gifts while enjoying a European-inspired setting close to home.

German food and mulled wine are also part of the market’s appeal, although a complete vendor list and specific menus for the 2026 edition have not yet been confirmed in the organizer’s published announcement.

A North Texas Tradition With German Roots

The Texas Christkindl Market first welcomed visitors in 2011, inspired by Arlington’s sister-city relationship with Bad Königshofen—a connection that now spans more than 75 years. Arlington’s subsequent friendship-city partnership with Rothenburg ob der Tauber added another link to Germany’s Christmas traditions.

For 2026, organizers say the market is growing, with additional vendors and entertainment. A detailed performance schedule and tree-lighting date are not included in the current announcement, so those particulars remain to be announced rather than carried over from last year.
