EL PASO, TEXAS (KFOX14/CBS4) — FrightFest is haunting Downtown El Paso Saturday, Oct. 17, at San Jacinto Plaza for an afternoon of live music, costumes, Halloween activities and local vendors.
Visitors can stop by San Jacinto plaza from 3 p.m. to midnight.
This year’s FrightFest follow’s its inaugural year in which the event welcomed about 2,400 attendees.
Headlining this year’s “Bigger. Better. Louder” festival is alternative rock band Filter and joining the lineup for the night is Josey Scott. Other performances include Painted Velvets, Let There Be Rock School, Saving Bandit and Battle of the Bands winner Four80s.
Organized by Branch and Bold, the festival is meant to give an opportunity for emerging musicians to share the stage with nationally recognized acts while continuing its mission of supporting local businesses and community partners.
FrightFest is about more than putting on a concert. It’s about creating something that belongs to El Paso. We want to give local musicians a stage, bring national talent to our city, support local businesses and create an experience that families and music fans can look forward to every year.
Tickets for the event are available at frightfestep.com. Children 12 years old and under have free admission with a ticketed adult. From every ticket sold, $1 will go toward AppleTree Creative, a local nonprofit supporting youth musicians.
