AUSTIN, Texas — A shelter-in-place order that was issued in San Marcos Saturday night has been lifted.
According to San Marcos Emergency Services, the order was issued for the Champions Crossing Apartments, which is located near I-35. Officials said there was a large police presence in the area as San Marcos police investigated an incident involving a barricaded subject.
Residents were instructed to remain indoors and await further instructions from police while the order was in effect.
The order was lifted at 9:20 p.m. after the subject was taken into custody.
