Wild Eggs hasn’t officially announced an expansion, but a permit was filed Oct. 1 with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for a new Wild Eggs at 9814 Fry Rd. in Cypress. The space was previously occupied by Sapporo, a Japanese steakhouse and bar. What Now first reported the news.

According to the permit, construction for the new Wild Eggs in Cypress Creek Plaza should have already started on Oct. 15. The buildout of the 4,100-square-foot space is expected to cost around $730,000 and finish by Jan. 15, 2027. Don’t take those as exact dates or a timeframe of when the restaurant should open.

Chron has reached out to Wild Eggs for more information on the new Cypress location. We will update this story if and when we hear back.

JD Rothberg and Shane Hall opened the first Wild Eggs in Louisville in 2007 with the intention of creating a scratch-made, finer-dining brunch experience in the growing breakfast sector. PG Growth Opportunities, a Miami-based private equity firm, purchased Wild Eggs for an undisclosed sum in January 2023. The breakfast chain now operates 19 locations across Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio. Rothberg rejoined the company in 2023 as a senior vice president of operations to oversee franchise quality standards.

In July, Wild Eggs announced new franchise opportunities across multiple states, including Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
