This year’s ceremony, scheduled for Nov. 13 at the Marriott at Legacy Town Center, will also mark the conclusion of the Chamber’s 80th anniversary celebration.

Nancy Humphrey has been named Citizen of the Year, an award recognizing individuals whose service to Plano extends beyond their professional responsibilities. Humphrey learned of the honor during a surprise announcement attended by previous recipients.

James Fripp of Yum! Brands will receive the Business Person of the Year Award, while Jeff Beckley and Juliette Collin of Beckley & Associates have been named Small Business Persons of the Year. Jessica Russell of Olive Branch Counseling will be recognized as Young Professional of the Year.

The Chamber will also present its Special Award of Merit to Coach Tom Kimbrough. Established in 1975, the award recognizes exceptional civic and charitable service and has been presented to just 21 individuals previously. Kimbrough will become its 22nd recipient.
