Nicole Kidman’s new Dallas-set series is heading to North Texas for filming.
“Discretion” stars Kidman and Elle Fanning as a pair of lawyers at a Dallas law firm, and is based on Dallas-raised author Chandler Baker’s short story. Filming on the eight-episode Paramount+ series began in mid-August in New Jersey, with additional photography in New York.
After filming on the East Coast, “Discretion” is shifting filming to Dallas this week and West Texas next week.

Texas-based Legacy Casting has posted several casting calls for “Discretion” filming in Dallas this week.
Each entry is under the show’s working title — “The Summers” — which was also used when filming took place in New York and New Jersey. Click on the hyperlinks below to apply for each role.

There are also a couple of casting notices for college students and professors on Monday, Oct. 19, but there are no details on where production is taking place in Dallas.

“Discretion” is then heading to West Texas next week.
The show will film driving scenes on Oct. 27 along a rural stretch of South County Road 1160 in Midland County, KMID-TV reported earlier this month. No additional details were reported on filming, including what actors will be in the scene.

“Discretion” was first announced in October 2025 and is based on Baker’s time as a corporate lawyer.
“Lenny (Fanning), a summer associate at a prestigious Dallas law firm, uncovers a web of NDAs masking a dark truth. When she realizes she signed the same agreement, her discoveries put her in the crosshairs of the firm’s most powerful female partner Sharon (Kidman) — upending their mentor-protégé dynamic and raising the question: who gets to keep secrets, and at what cost?” the show’s logline reads.
In addition to the previously mentioned cast, “Discretion” stars Josh Lucas, Colton Ryan, Stephan James, Zazie Beetz, Ben Foster, Stella Baker and John Hoogenakker.
“Discretion” will premiere on Paramount+ in 2027.
