Casa View Elementary School was one of the Dallas ISD schools to receive a book vending machine this semester.

The school district announced a handful of schools are getting these machines, which the Dallas Education Foundation and community partners (NEC, in Casa View Elementary’s case) worked to procure. More schools are expected to be selected during the school year, according to a Dallas ISD press release.

“The book vending machine will become a cornerstone of Casa View’s Blueprint for Excellence, helping us build a culture where reading is celebrated, and every child is valued,” Principal Moises Mercado said in the press release. “Each book earned becomes a permanent addition to a student’s home library, encouraging reading beyond the school day and fostering family engagement.”
