This small bar on a quiet street just outside of Deep Ellum (with lots of free parking) is a gem. It started as a food truck, then expanded into a restaurant in Deep Ellum. Now it’s in a new-ish space at 3905 East Side Ave.
We’re hosting this happy hour because we like to mingle with like-minded newsies, foodies, artists and cultural tastemakers every now and then. This is technically a members’ event, but we’ve started opening these up to everyone, including the member curious. Our membership program helps sustain our newsroom in these dynamic and challenging times.

Reason No. 5
Easy Sliders is one of Dallas’ best bars. It’s a top 50 bar and a personal top 5. The cozy space just outside Deep Ellum is well appointed with a postmodern aesthetic, with a touch of silliness. It’s also locally owned and, we all know, it’s imperative to support local.
Reason No. 4
The food is actually phenomenal. If you’ve not had their burger or the Sweet and Low Down slider, you’re missing some of the best things between sliced bread in Dallas.

The first drink is on us. Choose from a beer, a Frozen Outta Towner or a Butterfield Lemonade.
