EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/ CBS4) — A predawn crash snarled traffic in West El Paso, closing all lanes of Gateway East and shutting down the right lane of Interstate 10 at Hawkins early Wednesday morning.

All lanes have now reopened.

The collision was reported on the eastbound side of IH-10 at Hawkins at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026.

Drivers should expect major delays in the area and consider alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
