AUSTIN, Texas — Voters in Austin and San Marcos can ride Lime scooters and e-bikes to the polls for free during the final stretch of the midterm election.
Starting Saturday and running through Election Day on Nov. 3, riders can enter the promo code VOTE26 in the Lime app to get two free rides of up to 30 minutes each. The rides can be used to reach polling places, early voting sites or ballot drop boxes.
Lime encourages riders to check the app to make sure their voting location is inside its service area.

“Transportation should never stand between someone and their ability to participate in democracy,” said Emily Salazar, who leads social impact and advocacy for Lime.
Lime said the promotion is open to all riders and that it does not endorse or oppose any candidate or ballot measure.
The company has offered free rides to polling locations around the world since 2018 through its Lime to the Polls program.
